The X-Q antenna is a 2 wavelength quad loop open in the top. Total length of the wire: 332 cm.
Impedance of the antenna around 2000-2500 ohms. To match the antenna a 1:40 transformaer is made up a ferrite core with 4 turns primary and 25 secundary (Turn ratio: 1:6.25 => impedance ratio ~ 1:39) The ferrit core is glued to an connector strip to ease the wire installation. For vertical polarization, feed the antenna in the side.
3/4 wavelength portable antenna. Antenna wire is made of a RG58 cable with the jacket and braid stripped leaving center conductor intact.
